Recently, I heard it said that we should not be jealous of a team that is having a winning season – because we don’t know what they had to endure during their losing season to become a winner! Wow!
Each of our lives are filled with the pain of losing seasons. They are what define us, give us character, teach us the hard lessons, and force us to make the necessary adjustments. Without the losing seasons we would never learn how to win. But when we learn how to extract and apply the value gleaned from our losses – it’s then that we learn how to win!
Okay, so something got the best of you. Maybe it was your spouse, your children, a coworker, or perhaps some circumstance beyond your control. Cheer up! You’ll adjust; you’ll apply what you learned, and you’ll come back and win. How do I know this? Because the Bible says in Romans 8:37, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
There are no winning seasons – without the lessons learned in the losing seasons!
Y’all know you are my heroes and that I’m praying for you!
Hey, I hope you preach goooood Sunday! Let ‘er rip, tater Chip!
