About Us
Fresh Fire Ministries is a listener/user supported faith ministry that features the preaching. prayer, leadership, Internet, writing, radio, television, and comedy ministries of our founder and director, Rev. Aaron McCollough.
Fresh Fire Ministries was started as the sister ministry to Rev. McCollough’s pastoral ministry at the Roper Heights Baptist Church in West Point, Georgia and continues today as the sister ministry of the Troup Baptist Association in LaGrange, (Troup County) Georgia, where he serves as the Associational Missionary.
Fresh Fire Ministries began as a radio ministry in 1996 when Rev. McCollough made the first contact with a local radio station in LaGrange, GA, WTRP 620 AM. This was a step of faith, as Rev. McCollough didn’t have the necessary equipment to record and edit the sermons that would be aired on the broadcast, nor did he have the financial means to pay for such a venture. Since that time the Fresh Fire Ministries Radio Ministry has grown to seven stations across the United States. Many of these stations stream live to the Internet, thus creating a potential listening audience of millions of listeners each week.
In 1997 the writing ministry of Fresh Fire Ministries began. This happened when a couple from Roper Heights Baptist Church moved to Massachusetts and asked Rev. McCollough to e-mail them a copy of his inspirational writing called Pastoral Nuggets. This couple began to forward the Pastoral Nuggets to their new friends and they, in turn, began to ask that their names be placed on the Pastoral Nuggets e-mail list, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Today the Pastoral Nuggets column is sent worldwide via e-mail. If you would like to have the Pastoral Nuggets delivered to your computer each month, just send an e-mail to freshfire@mindspring.com with the word “Subscribe” in the subject field. There is no cost for this service. You will not receive any unsolicited e-mail and you may unsubscribe from the Pastoral Nuggets at any time. Also, you may go to the Pastoral Nuggets Page on this site and sign-up to receive the Nuggets. When you sign-up on-line, you will automatically receive a copy of the Nuggets when they are posted
In addition to his duties as Associational Missionary for the Troup Baptist Association and Director of Fresh Fire Ministries, Rev. McCollough is also a much sought after evangelist in the West Georgia and East Alabama area. To schedule Rev. McCollough to speak in your church (revivals, homecomings, men’s meetings, comedy presentations, (Great for senior citizen’s groups or Valentine’s Day banquets) Bible studies, special emphasis training, or just regular services, you may contact Rev. McCollough at 1-800-511-9536 or freshfire@mindspring.com.
Rev. McCollough and his wife, Marianne, have been married since 1974 and are the proud parents of four children and seven grandchildren.
It is our sincere desire that you pray for Rev. McCollough and Fresh Fire Ministries.
